Dealerscope named RWS’ own Chief Customer Officer Genna Majuta among 2020’s Best and Brightest Role Models and Mentors in its Powerful Women in Consumer Technology Awards.
According to Dealerscope, the recognition program was designed to honor those women who are effective in their respective consumer tech fields and who are known as both natural leaders among their peers and colleagues, and as mentors to up and coming females in the CT category.

As a natural leader…
During Majuta’s 10-year tenure at RWS, she has led team members with humility. The way RWS founder James “Jim” Kane, Jr. puts it, “Genna has met every challenge with the perfect balance of pragmatism and enthusiasm, and more than enough diligence to see it through every time.”
Majuta’s talents have spearheaded major initiatives through the years that have increased the opportunities available to independent appliance, electronics, furniture and mattress retailers. She has been involved in too many product launches and initiatives to list them all, however, her notable and recent contributions include FlashTags, AdRocket Boost and Socrates.
As a mentor…
Kane shared, “I heard Genna speak once about what being a good leader meant to her: She responded simply that, in her opinion, a good leader is someone who leads with a servant’s heart. I was struck by both the simplicity of her answer and the complete alignment between her answer and the way that Genna leads her organization day in and day out.
“Genna is unflappable. Everyone feels safe bringing bad news and new problems to her attention because they know she will take the time necessary to understand it and the action required to make it better. Her leadership creates an atmosphere of collaboration and grit. Everyone loves to work with her because they know there will be steady progress, everyone will share in the credit, and the task at hand will get done well and with excellence.”
Dealerscope asked this year’s honorees what attracted them to a career in consumer tech and what makes it a good career choice now for women? What hurdles remain to overcome?
Majuta responded, “Using technology to help others achieve greater success is invigorating, and the opportunities are boundless. To help realize the full promise of technology, furthering STEM education in women is necessary to bring balance to fields where we are the minority.”
Throughout her tenure at RWS, Majuta has served on an upward trajectory, giving her a unique appreciation and holistic perspective of the organization. She contributes whole heartedly to every task—from her start as an executive assistant, her time on the support team, to leading an entire support organization, and into the C suite.
“She inspires us all to work harder and do better right beside her. The effort, value and professionalism she brings to everything she touches is unparalleled,” said Kane.
We wish to congratulate Genna on this well-deserved award and look forward to working alongside her as she drives constant improvements to the RWS product suite and retailer experience!
