RWS Aids Dealers with Digital Memorial Day Promotions

Digital marketing provider creates turnkey, omnichannel options.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Industry websites and digital marketing provider Retailer Web Services has partnered with mattress and appliance manufacturers to create what it’s calling” turnkey, omnichannel digital promotions,” its independent retailer clients can deploy for Memorial Day weekend sales events.

That could equate to more than 2,000 simultaneous digital promotions — deals on brand name goods from sources such as Tempur Sealy, Electrolux, LG and Whirlpool — during the important holiday sales period, the company said.

A retailer with and RWS Level 4 site would use the WebFronts app and content management system to choose which pre-set promotions to run. With the click of a button, retailers can subscribe to run all applicable promotions from a given brand or individual promotions.

Each prospect’s purchase intent drives personalized re-marketing activities, which are automatically executed without manual intervention by the retailer. This allows independent retailers to reach prospects sooner than ever before with relevant promotions on the products they’re most interested in.

Once selected, pre-made promotion packages run with various elements, such as website banners, designed by RWS with high-resolution manufacturer-partner images; RWS-designed corresponding dynamic landing pages that track the promotions for individual retailers; automated Facebook posts for each promotion on the retailer’s Facebook page that lead consumers to the landing page; and email re-marketing, sending targeted emails on the promotions to only those consumers who have been on the retailer’s site, looking for those types of products. The emails appear to come directly from the retailer.

The promotions are selected by the retailer, but after that, the marketing program is seamlessly integrated without any additional actions required.

“For independent retailers without large advertising budgets and well-known spokespeople, it’s especially important their websites and digital marketing software employ dynamic technology that can target and reach prospects with compelling, timely offers, leading directly to sales,” said Jennie Gilbert, RWS chief operating officer and co-author of “Re:Think: 11 surprising things to do now to win retail customers in the digital age.”
