Google announced they’ll be making a significant change to their search algorithm beginning April 21st, 2015.
This update aims to favor mobile friendly sites, and penalize those that are not, in Google search results. As mobile traffic continues to sky rocket, it’s no surprise that Google wants to bring searchers results that provide the best end user experience no matter what device they happen to be using.
If you already have a great mobile site, than have no fear. This change won’t have much impact on your site rankings…in fact, you may see a jump in rankings as your competitors without mobile optimized sites fall below you in search results.

Almost all websites built by RWS include an alternate mobile version. We’ve investigated and found these pass Google’s test and are considered mobile friendly. If you have an RWS WebFront that includes an alternate mobile version you are in the clear!
If you’re using a legacy version of our products, or have chosen an edition that does not include an alternate mobile site, we can still help!
